Welcome!
I am a financial economist, and Associate Professor of Finance at KU Leuven, specializing in financial intermediation and markets.
I obtained my PhD in Finance from Warwick Business School (UK) in 2019. My primary research interests include banking theory - focusing on regulation, competition, financial stability and risk-taking -, financial technology and innovations, and green finance. I teach courses in Investments and FinTech.
Before joining Academia, I worked as a consultant in the EMEA banking sector.

(2024 May) The Informational Impact of Prudential Regulations (joint with Kebin Ma) is accepted at the Journal of Financial Intermediation!
(2023 May) New paper with John Thanassoulis on SSRN: The Cost of Banking with Naivety and Adverse Selection. We ask how gains from technology improvement will affect prices of banking services such as current accounts and credit.
